Proof of Your Love // Music Monday

I love the song "Proof of Your Love" by for King and Country. It is so powerful. The official music video (below) is one of the the best Christian Contemporary music videos I've ever seen.

I don't feel a need to say anything else... Just listen and be moved. :)

It's A Fine Fine Life

From where I'm sitting, I can look out the window and admire the young white blossoms on one of the trees in our front yard. I haven't found any good trees to climb in North Carolina, but there are many beautiful ones. I saw a fancy waterfront house in downtown Southport last year that had a pink flowery tree on its lawn-- a tree so large that the flowers dripped down over your head when you were walking on the sidewalk. I picked one of the flowers and took a quick picture of it, but it was so much prettier in real life.

Have you ever driven down the interstate and just been amazed at how beautiful your surroundings are? I remember traveling through the mountains between Tennessee and North Carolina when I was younger, peering out of the backseat window and wondering why no one commented on how pretty it was. I figured I was weird for finding something lovely that perhaps no one else found special at all.

I know I seem obsessed with trees right now, but here's what I'm really saying: Isn't there something beautiful, right in front of you, right now, that you're taking for granted? Today, I challenge you to open your eyes and notice the beauty already present in your life. Thank God for it. Rejoice. We have it so good.

Welcome Post

Hey everybody! Welcome to my new blog! I’m Ireland, and I'm sooooo glad you're here. For this very first post, I thought I would share a few fast things about me...
I love Jesus Christ above all else. If you have never trusted in Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you should know that He loves you and the best life you could ever have lies with him! Check out or (By the way, the whole Got Questions website is really great. It's definitely helped me out.)

I live in beautiful Southport, North Carolina with my parents and crazy-in-a-good-way brother, Jeffrey. We moved here last spring, and one of the cool things we like to do is bike to the pier (pictured above). Isn't it gorgeous?
I love to siiiinngg. Like, a lot. If you ever spent the day with me, just sitting on the couch while I do school (I'm a home-schooler), you would find that I sing... a lot. Just ask my mom. ☺ I also really like fashion, reading good books, and making lists. You know, now that I stop to think about it, life can be so great sometimes. We just have to remember our amazing blessings. Maybe then even the rough patches won't seem so overwhelming. God is always good, after all.
I'm so glad you decided to check out my blog! Cool things are in store... so come back soon!
